Rooted in the Word: Week 1

Updated: Jan 9, 2020

Let's Get Started!

Together we are going to start a new habit today. Maybe this is your first time reading the whole Bible or maybe it's your hundredth time, but  I want to challenge you this year to try something new.

The Bible is a living and active sword. It is an open window into the mind of our Almighty God and it tells the good news through which we can have eternal life! So rather than just reading words on a page, make this the year you root yourself in the Word. Dwell in Scripture and let it transform your life.

This week we are starting off with two beginnings, the creation of the earth and the beginning of its redemption. Every Sunday this year you'll receive a new email that will guide you through both the New and Old Testaments before the end of December.

Reading for Week 1:

Let the words of Matthew in the first chapter of his gospel sink in: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel (which means God with us)." Our Creator loved us enough to send His Son to be with us and save us from our sins. Praise Him for that!

I'm praying for you while we do this together. Let me know how it's going throughout the year and remember that what we are doing is more than just reading. We are rooting ourselves in the Word and letting it transform our lives!

With Christ's love,

Brandon
